Your trial and subscription

Every Dongu account starts with a full-featured free trial, and nothing about your data changes when it ends. This page covers the trial, read-only mode, the plans with their exact prices, and how to cancel.

The 15-day free trial

When you create an account, the trial starts automatically: 15 days of full access to everything — tasks, habits, wellness, focus, boards, statistics. No credit card is required, and there is nothing to cancel if you decide to walk away.

The trial is the full product, not a limited tier — what you use during those 15 days is exactly what you get as a subscriber.

What read-only means

If the trial ends before you subscribe, your account becomes read-only. You can still sign in and see everything you created; you just cannot add or change things until you subscribe.

Read-only is a pause, not a penalty:

• Your tasks, habits, logs, and history stay visible.
• Nothing is ever deleted because a trial ended.
• Subscribing at any point — even months later — restores full access exactly where you left off.

Plans and prices

Dongu has one level of access and two prices for it:

• Founder offer: the first 1000 subscribers pay $1 per month or $10 per year, and keep that price for as long as their subscription stays active.
• Standard: $5 per month or $50 per year.

You choose monthly or yearly billing at checkout. Both intervals include the same full access; the choice only changes how often you pay.

Payment and billing

Checkout and payments are handled by Paddle, acting as the merchant of record. Your payment details go to Paddle, not to Dongu, and all prices are in US dollars.

Canceling your subscription

You can cancel anytime from Plan & billing inside the app. Canceling stops future charges, and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that, the account returns to read-only, with everything still visible — exactly as after the trial.

There is no penalty for coming back later: subscribing again simply lifts read-only mode, with everything as you left it.
