Dongu

XP & achievements

Progress that pays you back.

Dongu keeps score for you, not against you. Finishing a task, checking a habit, completing a focus session, logging your wellness — each pays XP, and XP adds up to levels, streaks, achievements and weekly challenges.

  • XP per action: tasks 10, habits 5, focus sessions 15, wellness 5
  • Levels that need progressively more XP
  • A streak for doing at least one thing a day
  • 13 achievements and Monday-to-Sunday weekly challenges
  • Daily fairness caps keep XP honest

XP for the things that matter

Completing a task pays 10 XP, a habit check 5, a finished focus session 15, and your first wellness log of the day 5. Unlocking an achievement adds a 25 XP bonus. Small numbers, honestly earned — with a chime and the occasional confetti.

Levels and streaks

Levels climb as XP accumulates, each one needing a little more than the last. The streak counts consecutive days with at least one XP-earning action — one habit check on a terrible day keeps it alive.

Achievements and weekly challenges

Thirteen achievements mark real milestones, and a fresh set of weekly challenges runs Monday to Sunday. Progress bars for both live on your dashboard and achievements page.

Fair by design

XP from each action type caps out each day — for example, task completions stop paying after 30 in a day. The action still works; it just stops paying. Grinding is boring, so Dongu made it pointless.

Frequently asked questions

Can I lose XP?

No. XP is never clawed back — unchecking or reopening something doesn't subtract, and completing it again doesn't pay twice.

Why did a completion pay no XP?

Each action type has a daily XP cap (tasks 30 completions, habits 30 checks, focus 20 sessions). Past the cap the action still succeeds — it just stops paying XP until tomorrow.
