Terms of Service

Welcome to Dongu ("we", "us"). These terms govern your use of the Dongu apps and website at todongu.com (the "Service"). By creating an account you agree to them. We've kept them short and in plain language.

1. The Service

Dongu is a personal task and habit manager with web and mobile apps. We work hard to keep it fast and available, but the Service is provided "as is" without uptime guarantees.

2. Your account

You need an account to use Dongu. Keep your password safe — you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use the Service.

3. Free trial, subscriptions & billing

• Every new account gets a 15-day free trial with full access. No payment details are required for the trial.
• After the trial, continued editing requires a paid subscription. Without one your account becomes read-only: your data stays visible and exportable, and is not deleted.
• Payments are processed by Paddle (paddle.com), our merchant of record. Paddle handles checkout, invoices, taxes and refunds; your card details never touch our servers.
• Subscriptions renew automatically (yearly for the Founder plan, monthly for the Standard plan) until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from Plan & billing — you keep access until the end of the paid period.
• The Founder price ($12/year) is limited to the first 1000 subscribers and is kept for as long as the subscription remains active. If it lapses after the offer is sold out, the regular price applies on re-subscribing.
• Prices may change for new billing periods; we will announce changes at least 30 days in advance and never change the price of an already-paid period.

Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

4. Your content

Everything you put into Dongu (tasks, notes, habits, logs) is yours. We claim no ownership and only process it to provide the Service. Optional AI features send the relevant task text to our AI provider to generate suggestions — never for advertising, and only when you press an AI button.

5. Acceptable use

Don't abuse the Service: no unauthorized access attempts, no disrupting other users, no illegal content, no automated bulk misuse of the API. We may suspend accounts that do.

6. Termination

You can delete your account by contacting us. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination your data is deleted within a reasonable period, except where law requires retention.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. For material changes we'll notify you by email or in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Dongu after that means you accept the new terms.
